Research student needed

Description
Research student needed to extract data from video tapes from an agroforestry project in Panama showing approximately 4x the growth rate using basalt powder.
Looking for a research student, preferably forestry, to get tree growth measurements from digital video images of trees taken at different times.
We have all the tapes, and each image has a measuring rod clearly visible, so it is just a matter of grabbing the digital frames and comparing the height of each tree to the rod, probably from 10 to 20 hours to complete. This scientific study will be peer reviewed and this study will be an important contribution for forestry research using rock dust.
The trees growing in basalt powder grew around 4 times faster. But we will have exact numbers and detailed and irrefutable statistics once all the heights are measured.
Preferably, RTE is looking for a research student in Cambridge/Boston or the Pioneer Valley 5 College area.
Around the end of July
Possible stipend.
