It's the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio's 25th anniversary!
Volunteer with us as we celebrate!
Volunteer Duties:
Volunteers help make this event possible from start to finish. Volunteers can expect to assist in a variety of ways throughout the night, including set-up, guest check-in, ticket sales, raffle station, wine pull station, Plinko station, furniture building station, paint by number mural station, welcome home kits station, program support, guest support, and teardown. Most importantly, volunteers should interact with guests with a sense of kindness and enthusiasm about the Furniture Bank's mission!
Timeline:
VOLUNTEERS ARRIVE: 5 PM
GUEST CHECK-IN STARTS: 6 PM
WELCOME REMARKS: 6:25 PM
PROGRAM STARTS: 7:30 PM
TEARDOWN BEGINS: 9:30 PM
EVENT ENDS: 10 PM
Things to Note:
-Volunteers will have access to The Gallery on the 2nd floor to rest and store any items.
-Parking is free and ample at The Fives. Check out our website for a parking map.
-Dress is business casual, but dress to be comfortable. Check out event photos here.
-The Fives is an open air venue, so you may be most comfortable dressing in layers.
-Complimentary food and drink will be available, but consider bringing a water bottle.
-Volunteers are welcome to enjoy the raffles, wine pull, and Plinko as time permits.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio is to provide a free furniture for individuals and families struggling with poverty and other severe life challenges - "Turning Empty Houses Into Homes." The organization was originally "Material Assistance Providers" from 1998-2006, and "MAP Furniture Bank" from 2006-2009.
Description
We collect gently used furniture, appliances and household items, and distribute them free of charge to families trying to move out of difficult situations, which without help, can be emotionally and financially overwhelming. Our work gives these families a better chance at establishing a permanent and nurturing home.
