Children Across America is seeking volunteers to make our 2019 Gala a smashing success! Planning, setup, helping with auction, arranging seating, processing payments from auction, directing parking and general help for our 2019 Children Across America Gala - A Midsummer's Night For Knowledge. This business professional attire Gala will be held at the beautiful Lake Pearl in Wrentham on Saturday July 20th from 7-11 PM. Live music, fabulous buffet, raffles, live and silent auctions. We are looking to have a fun time and raise some money to help kids at the same time. All volunteers will be able to take part in the awesome buffet, desserts and non alcoholic refreshments.

We are a 100% volunteer organization that provides all of our educational and preventative health care services free of charge to underserved families. We are completely dependent on donations and fundraisers and this is the biggest of the year for us. We plan on having 100 kids in this summers program and that takes a lot of money. Our cost is $10 per child per day and that includes lunch. But the feeling you get when you see a child realize that they are smart is priceless.

Accessible health care and a good education can change a child's world. You can be part of that change. Please consider lending your skills to help America's children. Everyone in our organization are volunteers, including our full time staff. We will never use donations to be used for anything but helping children.

A child who reads becomes an adult who thinks.

Mission Statement

Children Across America is a 501 (c)(3) (EIN 27-0355388), humanitarian organization. Children Across America provides literacy support and preventative healthcare to underserved children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in low income communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5, who can't afford a private tutor, or professional tutoring services such as Kaplan or Kumon.

Description

CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.

Our main educational program is a STEM and Coding program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club that runs each Saturday.

Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
