Mission Statement

Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center gathers and educates people to celebrate and preserve the history, arts, sciences and rich diversity of this region and its people.

Description

Founded in 1939 by the Columbia River Archeological Society, the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center showcases local & regional history, sciences & the arts. Housed in two historic buildings in downtown Wenatchee, the museum features three floors of unique displays interpreting life in the valley of the mid-Columbia.

Our spectacular coin operated HO-gauge railway layout portrays three Great Northern Railway routes across the Cascade Mountains from 1892 to present. View original Columbia River petroglyphs recovered from the river before the construction of Rock Island Dam; 11,000 year old Clovis points discovered in East Wenatchee in the late 1980s; and Home Address: Anywhere in the Air, depicting the life of Clyde Pangborn and his unprecedented 1931 non-stop flight across the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy the sounds of our restored 1919 Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ and visit Main Street 1910.

Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center is open year round.
