Travel Diary in a T-Shirt Quilt
Quilt created from t-shirts collected around the world. As a special request from a patient's husband, a Gentiva volunteer assembled 36 t-shirts to make this fabulous quilt as a reminder of their worldwide travels.

W A R M W E L C O M E P R O J E C T - PERFECT FOR YOUR GROUP!

Greet new patients to hospice with a handmade blanket, shawl, quilt or pillow.

Create knitted, crocheted, or tied fleece items for hospice patients--as a first impression of hospice and to keep them warm and bring them comfort, not to mention brighten their days!

Lap blankets, shawls, quilts and pillows are most appreciated by our patients as well as bereaved family members--use your creativity to design something special.

You can deliver your handmade items to patients or if you prefer, our staff or other volunteers will be happy to present them to patients for you.To offer comfort to the bereaved, your shawl can be a gift to a family member. Put your creativity to use :-)

Our volunteer sewing team meets regularly in our office. You are invited to join them!

Gentiva Hospice is a team of professionals who provide care to patients and families with end of life needs. As key members of the care team, volunteers expand and enhance hospice services for our patients. Volunteers bring special skills and talents to share with patients, and offer comfort through companionship visits, administrative assistance and special projects for patients and their families.
