The Central Library offers classes for adults to learn basic computer skills, including how to use email and the Internet. Volunteers assist staff instructors by providing individual help for students during classes. Volunteers must be patient, flexible and enjoy assisting older adults and English language learners with learning computer skills.
Classes are scheduled 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Volunteers typically assist in two to three classes per month for at least six months. You can download a volunteer application from the Library's website. Please contact our Volunteer Services Coordinator at volunteer@spl.org for information about volunteer openings.
