Great opportunity for students in social work.

Become a part of a separated families’ life by helping to supervise our Parenting Time Groups, on Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings, 4:30-6:30pm.

In the Child Welfare system, parents and children are sometimes separated when safety concerns exist that prohibit them from living in the same household. Promoting frequent contact between parents and children who are separated maintains and strengthens the family bond and is an important part of helping families reunify. Research indicates increased contact with parents helps to foster a child’s emotional stability when in foster care and decreases the total amount of time they are out of parents’ care.
