Our hope at Gentiva Hospice is that no one dies alone. Supportive Presence (Vigil) Volunteers help us meet that goal by providing patients with a comforting presence during their final hours. This may take the form of sitting quietly by a patient's bedside if their family or friends are unavailable, or by providing support to family members who may wish to take a break from the bedside of their loved ones.
Vigil Volunteers are called upon on an as needed basis, with consideration given to their own schedules.
Visits can done at various Walworth, Kenosha, or Racine locations.
