A Call to All Volunteers for Trail Maintenance.

The Stewardship Committee is pleased to announce their first work party of 2010 to be held on Saturday March 13.
It will start at 9 am and workers will meet at the Shady Lane entrance of the Esopus Bend Nature Preserve.
The party will be working on the East Trail to widen the trail on the section nearest the creek and to work on the slope going up to the bench. We may also assist with moving materials to the Boardwalk site and do some brush clearing there.

Tools needed; bow saws, hand clippers, looping shears and don't forget work gloves and to dress for muddy conditions.

Bring water, too.

You can stay as long as you wish, that may mean an hour for some and much longer for others. This is a good opportunity to get outside and to help with some important work on the Preserve.

If you have any questions or need more info just ask. You can call Chris at to 246-9856 or 633-3893.

Volunteer Application
We are an all-volunteer organization, and volunteers are essential to achieve our goals. We know that no two volunteers are alike. Some can help a lot, some a little. Some are available on weekends, others are available during the week. Whether you would like to be called for a special task, serve on a committee, work outdoors on the preserve, or help in some other way, we would like to hear about you and your interests.
