**Now recruiting for Spring 2023 training--Classes will start in April 2023**

Volunteers must be 18 or older, attend 40 hours of in-person training and submit background checks. One year commitment required.

We are seeking caring individuals to volunteer as Coverage Volunteers in our family homeless shelter. Coverage Volunteers ensure the smooth operation of the shelter and respond to the daily needs of shelter residents. Shifts are typically 4 hours at a time (daytime, weeknights, weekends) and two shifts per month are required.

Doorways is an Arlington-based non-profit agency helping individuals and families create pathways out of homelessness, domestic violence and sexual assault leading to safe, stable and empowered lives. We envision a community where all people live free of violence and have safe and stable housing regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, age, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, abilities, language, or national origin. We see a future without homelessness or domestic and sexual violence.
