America Continental 2000, a US Non profit Organization, specialized in ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR DISASTER MITIGATION need volunteers.

The main objective is the cleanup of the beach, along the Gulf of Mexico Coast, due to the oil spill that still in progress.

The organization is planning, coordinating and preparing the site conditions, equipment and tools for deployment.

America Continental 2000 is considering the use of tents, coolers, generators, propane powered grills, flash lights, generators and other supplies for camping on the beach or designated areas along the Gulf of Mexico Coast.

We encourage high school students from the cities along the coast to join our cleanup efforts.

Also we need some volunteers to represent us and work as Volunteer's Coordinators from the Command Center located at the Outlaw Convention Center, Mobile, AL. 36602. If this is your case, please contact us via e-mail, as soon as possible; otherwise we will be contact you as soon we have all the site conditions for the volunteers in place.

Actually, America Continental 2000 is planning to build shelters and health centers for the Typhoon Haiyan survivors in Phillipines.

The primary geographical area of focus are the continents of the Western Hemisphere. Thus the organization derives its name, America Continental 2000. However, the vision is not limited to this part of the world, and as the organization grows in its ability to respond to situations as they arise and meet needs, the scope of action will be widen.

Description

The purposes for organizing the Corporation are to perform charitable activities within the meaning of Internal Revenue Code Section 501 (c)(3) and the Chapter 496, F.S.

Specifically, the Corporation is organized to provide disaster relief and development assistance in the form of engineering and other technical consulting, advice, and assistance; the providing of equipment and materials to carry out that advice; and other organizational and consulting services designed to assist local organizations and governments in preparing for and responding to disasters of all kinds including disasters caused by terrorism, environmental contamination, earthquakes, tsunamis and water drought.

We can provide heavy equipment operators, construction workers and engineers from different disciplines in order to mitigate the damages caused by disasters.

America Continental 2000, is exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501 (c)(3) and is a corporation organized under the laws of the State of Florida, filed on September 29, 2003.
