Our Military Veterans and their families often request current military personnel or veterans to visit and reminisce about their military days. If you enjoy discussing current military-related topics or past history of the military, please consider visiting with one of our veterans on hospice. Many of our male patients often request male visitors.
Odyssey Hospice is Partner Level 1 with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. We have access to additional training for our volunteers to Veterans.

Description
Hospice of Charleston provides services to terminally ill patients with a wide range of diagnoses. Hospice of Charleston offers palliative care and support to all terminally ill patients and their families without regard for diagnosis, gender, national origin, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, age, or place of residence. In harmony with the hospice concept, Odyssey provides intensive treatment of the physical and emotional pain and symptoms. This palliative care focuses on enhancing a patient's comfort and overall quality of life and is provided in the patient's home, a nursing home, or hospital.
