Description
Are you interested in representing the Food Bank in our community? Become an Ambassador.
Purpose: Ambassadors help the Food Bank connect and provide information to our community at informational fairs, speaking engagements, festivals, concerts, Food and Fund Drive events, and various other activities that take place during regular business hours, at night or on the weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Attend a minimum of three events in the community per year (events last 2-3 hours on average)
- Minimum one-year program commitment
- Pick up and return materials to the Food Bank
- Provide your own transportation to and from the event
- Stay knowledgeable and up-to-date on Food Bank happenings
Support Provided:
- Training and resources
- Quarterly Talking Points about the Food Bank
- Personal and professional development
- Event materials
- Membership in a selected close-knit community of volunteers
Skills
- Public speaking: Speak on behalf of Capital Area Food Bank at community events
- Event support: Provide support for events benefiting the Capital Area Food Bank
