Do you care about kitties? Do you fall for felines? Help out at a local Animal Shelter in the Cat Room. Time Periods When Assistance is Needed 8 a.m. through 5 or 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. through 4 p.m. Saturday/Sunday. Volunteers helping in the cat room are asked to stay for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Assist staff in maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of all the cats in adoption and stray hold areas, and assisting with the small furry animals in that room. Assisting staff by scooping feces or dumping litter, watering cats, ensuring clean bedding and plenty of toys in each cage.
