Volunteering will keep you young!
You can help by being a Kennel Assistant at a local animal shelter. Hours are 8am to 5 or 6pm Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm Saturday/Sunday. You would be expected to work for a 2 to 3 hour shift at a time. Duties Use Open Paw program to socialize and train dogs to improve adoptability. Assist staff in maintaining the comfort and cleanliness of all the dogs in kennels and help with the small furry animals in that room.
