Guardian Angels for Soldier's Pet desires to establish a public relations program that will identify different mediums for communication throughout the country about our organization and programs. We need to enlist the skills of seasoned professionals who can take our communications needs and interaction with the civilian and military media sources to the next level.

• Virtual volunteer where responsibilities can primarily be accomplished from the volunteer's home, via email, and telephone communications.
• Complete understanding of the organization and mission.
• Represents the organization at the state level with military and non-military media contacts.
• Educate the civilian and military communities about who we are, what we do, and how we do it.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local media and military public affair offices to promote the organization.
• Coordinates interviews between press and foster homes and/or soldiers.
• Maintain and provide a "Monthly Activity Report" to the national office to include activities, hours involved on behalf of the organization, and other information as requested.
• Reports to the National Communications Director and works closely with the state's Volunteer Management Team (if in place).

• Public Relations: Corporate or military public affairs experience desired.
• Project Management: Professional, organized, reliable, able to work with a diverse group of people, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• MS Office: Comfortable using and access to MS office (such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher), communicate via the internet, phone calls, and email.
