Description

want to make a difference while gaining real-world communications experience with an award-winning organization? VolunteerMatch is looking for two talented and committed Communications & Marketing Interns who want to take their skills to a new level.

Our communications & Marketing internships are excellent ways to apply and gain communications, marketing and public relations skills with a leader in the independent sector. Previous interns have earned credit toward university degrees and developed skills and portfolio pieces to help take them to the next level as professionals.

Our Communications & Marketing Interns are important parts of VolunteerMatch's Communications department and contribute to our efforts to support our community, generate awareness for our products and services, and respond to queries from the media.

Interns interact with a variety of professionals within both VolunteerMatch and our community of organizations, volunteers, and business service clients.

Among the project areas that interns may be assigned to work on are:

  • Writing and content development
  • Web community management
  • Public relations
  • Managing social network campaigns
  • Developing multimedia projects
  • Competitive analysis and market research
  • Identifying new partnership opportunities
  • Ensuring our brand and messaging is consistent

NOTE: These are half-time (20-24 hours per week) internships that MUST be conducted from our office in San Francisco. If you CANNOT come to work at our office, we have other opportunities you can do from home. Email news@volunteermatch.org to learn what you can do from home.
