The After School program at the Walter White Community Resource Center provides an educational, fun and safe environment for youth who may not have a parent/guardian to come home to after school. At the center, youth get to use the gym and playground (weather permitted) to run and play, arts and crafts projects that allow them to be creative, and reading and homework assistance to help them in excel in school.
As an After School Activities Aide you will assist staff members with the after school program. Activities can vary day to day. Youth will have computer time, and reading/homework time before doing an activity. We ask that volunteers be flexible and have an open mind. You are free to create activities with staff (if desired), while supervising and interacting with the youth.
Monday - Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
(Only need to commit to one day a week, if desired)
