GENERAL FUNCTION

Supports the childcare program by providing facilitation, supervision, and direction to youth participants. Facilitates activities for youth that shape values and encourage lifelong community service. Serves as a caring adult role model and builds relationships with youth that empowers them and impacts their lives. Plays a vital part in empowering teens to find their voices and to make positive community change.

Preferably looking for a six month commitment/5 hours a month

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

1. Work with YMCA staff to provide leadership to various activities within before and afterschool childcare programs. (sewing, knitting, cooking, dance etc.)
2. Empower youth to lead themselves.
