Chaparral House, a non-profit nursing home focusing on excellent elder-centered care is looking for volunteers who have experience and/or a comfort level with elders with Alzheimers and dementia
These elders may not be able to carry on a totally coherent conversation but some do enjoy visiting and others appreciate visits for a game of balloon toss, listening to music or looking at books together or to get outside in their wheelchairs if the weather is nice enough.
Please contact us if you are interested in helping out. We have volunteers here every day of the week but not during evening or night time hours. All volunteers are required to provide proof of COVID vaccination and a booster. At this time volunteers are also required to wear masks at our facility.
