A Larimer County non-profit agency has created a program to support the life-long bond between pets and low-income elderly and/or disabled Larimer County residents.
Volunteers will provide direct services for clients in private homes and senior living environments. Help will include:
- In-home animal care
- Dog walking
- Cage cleaning
- Feeding
- Bathing
- Transportation to groomer and vet
- Home delivery of pet food and supplies
- Temporary foster care
Eligible pet owners are:
- Over 60 or disabled
- Larimer County resident
- Low income, Medicare or Medicaid
Special RSVP Volunteer benefits are available to volunteers age 55

Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
