Description
Overview of the Community Ambassador Program
The Community Ambassador Program is a basic health promotion program targeting community groups with the folic acid message. We know that half of all pregnancies in the U.S. are unplanned, so it is important to get this message out to all women and to those individuals that influence their health behaviors - including parents, grandparents, aunts, husbands, friends, teachers and employers.
Who can be a Community Ambassador?
Anyone who is interested in folic acid, health and talking to others can be a Community Ambassador.
Benefits of becoming a Community Ambassador
In addition to being able to spread our important message, being a Community Ambassador will build public speaking skills and will be a great addition to your resume. Community Ambassadors are given a stipend of $30 for each presentation, with a goal of 7 presentations with an average of 10 participants per presentation.
