The food pantry is part of RECAP's Nutrition Program and provides families of all sizes with a supply of food. Volunteer duties can include organizing items and stocking shelves, assisting with donations arriving from the community, data entry, keeping the Pantry area clean and safe, preparing packages, organizing donated breads and cakes in RECAP's lobby. Also assisting with the intake process which involves interviewing, handing out packages, and referring people to other community agencies. Some volunteers can do reception desk duty to greet clients, answer the phone and tell callers about RECAP's programs.
We take into consideration each volunteer's abilties, limits and availability so don't hesitate to contact us with questions.
The pantry is open Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM
