Many kinds of animals are used in therapy. They can improve the physical, social, emotional and/or cognitive functioning of our hospice patients.
Pet Therapy is a valuable aid in reaching out to our hospice patients. Animals have a calming effect on patients and can reduce loneliness, bringing them much peace and joy.They are more receptive to their medical treatments and nourishment when they receive regular visits from pets. Our goal is to enrich the quality of life for our hospice patients.

Description
HCT's care is a holistic approach that focuses on family and loved ones, along with the patient. Hospice Care Team is an Interdisciplinary team of Medical Directors, Registered Nurses, LVN's, Social Workers, Certified Nursing Assistants, Chaplais, Beraeavement Counselors and Volunteers. The care and support offered by the hospice staff enables patients to remain in the comfort of familiar surroundings and to live each day the way they choose to live.
