Volunteers advocate for a child's right to a safe, stable and permanent home as quickly as possible. We work with children who are in the state's custody, through no fault of their own. Volunteers get to the know each child well, so they can tell the Judge what the wishes of the child are, in regard to where they want to live. Research child's background to locate any and all suitable home possibilities - whether it be returning to their parents, going to appropriate relatives, or becoming free for adoption. Gather all available information and share this with the court, to assist the Juvenile Court Judge in making the best possible decision regarding a child's life. Volunteers also advocate for the child, and family, to utilize all resources available to them.
