RMHC of the Bluegrass(r) provides housing for families of ill or injured children in a communal living setting. It is critical to maintain a safe and sanitary environment in order to protect the health of Families, Employees, Volunteers, Visitors or Others to help flatten the community spread of COVID-19 in Fayette County and beyond. Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to suspend ALL volunteer activity and non-essential Staff & Visitors to RMHC of the Bluegrass until further notice.
The Ronald McDonald House transports families to and from area hospitals three times per day and once a week to the grocery store using the Ronald McDonald House van. The van runs at 9am, 1pm and 7pm.
A current driver's license is required and driving records will be checked on all prospective van drivers.
Van drivers are asked to commit to at least one or two shifts per month for at least 3 months.

Ronald McDonald House Charities, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Its grassroots-driven programs offer help where children need it most - right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children's lives through its global network of local Chapters in 52 countries and regions and its three core programs: the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. These programs provide a bridge to accessible health care and allow families more time together, which helps in the healing process. RMHC and its global network of local Chapters also have hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and program services to children's programs around the world.
