Horton's Kids, Inc
Every Tuesday, volunteers tutor children from Anacostia one-on-one to help make a difference in their personal and academic lives.
Horton's Kids, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide comprehensive services to some of Washington, DC's most underprivileged children and their families, including tutoring, mentoring, dental and vision care, food, clothing, and holiday celebrations.
On Tuesday evenings from September to June, Horton's Kids brings busloads of children from Anacostia to Capitol Hill for one-on-one tutoring by great volunteers from all over the DC area. You can tutor every week or just occasionally.
