at a local Senior Center. They need your help as as front desk Receptionist.
Volunteers are needed to perform reception duties on Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday from 9 a.m to 1 p.m. and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Note- more than one volunteer can fill this job. You do not have to be there all day every day.
Purpose is to provide this facility with a steady contact at the front desk.
Volunteers will greet members and guests, registration for classes, contact members as needed, update records in computer, answer phone, type letters, organize files and create an official greeting/coordinator for the center.
A Washington State patrol background is required.
Training will be provided to volunteers by the agency Director.
The site is handicapped accessible.
Parking is provided free with handicapped parking also provided.

Mission Statement
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Snohomish County matches skills/training and preferences of persons 55+ to available volunteer opportunities and promotes their voluntary service as a valuable community resource.
Description
RSVP matches personal interests, skills and lifelong experiences with non-profit public organizations at over 116 different partner agencies, including non-profits, throughout the county. Benefits of being an RSVP volunteer are: ~excess insurance coverage including Liability, Auto, and Accident. ~partial reimbursement for transporatation costs to and from volunteer stations, subject to certain regulations and limits. ~ongoing recognition and Annual Recognition Event to RSVP volunteers. The only agency tracking and reporting the volunteer activities of persons age 55 and older through the National Senior Corps, RSVP promotes retired and senior persons as viable members of the community, able to share their skills, time and experience through volunteer service.
