Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Carrollton is actively seeking several outgoing individuals to serve as Guest Relations volunteers. The guest relations volunteers will assist patients, families, and visitors in a hospital setting. The volunteer may be stationed at the Guest Relations desk, the Main Entrance, the ICU Waiting Room, the Day Surgery Waiting Room, the Emergency Department Waiting Room, or in one of the various hospital departments. Additionally, we are looking for volunteers to provide companionship to those patients who do not have family support while in the facility. Shifts are flexible, depending on your availibility. A six month commitment is requested along with the ability to work one designated 4-hour shift per week. Each individual must be able and willing to escort patients and visitors through the building while delivering patient and family-centered care. This individual must agree to learn and implement Baylor Scott & White Health's mission, vision and values. After interviewing and upon an offer, candidates will submit to a drug screen and background check. Baylor Scott & White Health supports a tobacco-free, drug-free environment. Once cleared, volunteers will attend a 2-day orientation in Irving followed by 'on-the-job' training at the hospital before being scheduled.
