This internship offers a valuable experience for candidates interested in arts administration and studio art education.

Interns will work directly with the Programming Director to plan, promote, and execute a variety of educational programs for teens & children, including in-house programs, activities at festivals/events, and partnerships with area school districts.

Interns will assist in organizing and implementing a variety of art activities including day camps, camp after care, birthday parties, and scout workshops.

Interns will also assist the Director in developing a variety of educational materials and promotional flyers and distribution of these materials.

In addition, interns will be responsible for administrative tasks such as filing, organizing, copying, compiling, and collating as well as electronic and written communication with the community.

Interns will also have the opportunity to attend a variety of special events, as well as actively participate in brainstorming sessions within the organization.

• Working with children: Experience working with children in a variety of environments such as mentoring, tutoring, childcare, Sunday school, etc.
• Office Adminstration: Proficient with MS Office Suite applications (word/xcel) and social media (FB, Twitter), attention to detail, filing / organization skills, excellent oral and written communication.
• Studio Art: Education or background in drawing, clay, painting, printmaking and / or other artistic media. Should be proficient with the process and able to communicate it effectively to others.
