Volunteers will help organize, plan and promote an annual conference about open space and farmland preservation to be held in March 18, 2016. Work will include recruiting sponsors, scouting venues, developing the program and workshops, organizing a social media campaign, conducting focus groups with students, securing speakers, updating mailing lists, and doing any other duties that arise with this educational event. Great opportunity for people experienced or wanting experience in marketing, PR, and event planning.
This event is attended by more than 300 people who represent land trusts, watershed associations, conservation education organizations, citizen advocacy groups, local and state government agencies and more.
It is one of the nation's largest statewide conservation training and workshop event.

New Jersey Conservation Foundation is a private, non-profit organization. As a conservation leader, New Jersey Conservation Foundation protects threatened state natural areas and farmland through land acquisition and stewardship; promotes strong New Jersey land use policies; and forges partnerships to help safeguard our water and other natural resources.
Since 1960, New Jersey Conservation Foundation has protected over 125,000 acres of natural areas and farmland - from the Highlands to the Pine Barrens to the Delaware Bay, from farms to forests to urban and suburban parks. We have been at the forefront of every key legislative initiative to protect farmland, forests and water quality throughout the state. We provide critical support to hundreds of local conservation partners throughout New Jersey.
