Create Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Khmer translation glossaries to strengthen health communications with Asian immigrant patients facing language barriers. We will provide volunteers with already translated health materials and a list of English terms which are used in the translated documents. Volunteers will search the translated documents and create a translation glossary for future reference to ensure consistency.

Volunteers are welcome to come to AHS to use our computers or virtually work on the project from home. Hours and schedule flexible.

Asian Health Services is a community health center serving those who have the least access to health care. Patients are largely low-income (often uninsured) Asian immigrants. Nearly 90% of our patients are limited English speakers. We strive to have our written materials available to them in Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Khmer, Mongolian, and Tagalog.
