Gain great work experience or earn academic credit while working with a dynamic non-profit team! The Volunteer Program Management Intern works directly with the Director of Volunteer Engagement to manage the Chapter's volunteer and leadership development program. Gain invaluable project management experience, mentoring and insight into non-profit administration. Responsibilities will include: Recruit, recognize and train volunteers; Conduct outreach to community, civic and faith groups; Develop volunteer job descriptions; Research corporate volunteer programs; Support Volunteer Leadership Teams; Create recruitment e-mail campaigns; Attend volunteer fairs; Assist Programs, Development and Advocacy departments with volunteer committees; Database entry. Unpaid Internship. Full or part-time schedule available (within regular business hours - Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm). MS stops people from moving. The National MS Society exists to make sure it doesn’t. The Greater Carolinas Chapter, with offices located in Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte, NC, serves over 18,000 individuals affected by MS in North and South Carolina. We help each person address the challenges of living with MS and raise funds for MS research. Our vision is a World Free of MS!
