Nature Consortium is looking for an individual who has experience in accounting to join our board as a Treasurer. In addition to accounting experience, the qualified individual should have a general enthusiasm about the arts and the environment. The board treasurer's responsibilities include reviewing and presenting financial statements to the board, monitoring the organization's financial health, and ensuring the development and board review of financial policies and procedures on behalf of a the organization. This person will work closely with the Executive Director. Approximately 3-5 hours per month are needed to work successfully in this position. Our Board of Trustees meets ten times per year, usually on the third Tuesday of the month in the evening. Board meetings typically start with dinner.
