Additional Providers Needed for Remarkable Health Setting in Maryland
Organization |
Description
Shepherd's Clinic provides quality, integrative health care for uninsured people in Baltimore---those unable to afford commercial health insurance and unable to enroll in government insurance programs. Patients pay an hour's wage for medical, mental health and wellness care. Volunteer providers contribute care four days a week for over 350 patient visits monthly. Volunteers also contribute extensively to every other aspect of clinic function. You can help our uninsured patients make creative, transformative, life-affirming changes through our approach combining primary care, specialty care, hospital services, mental health care, movement therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, stress reduction training and nutrition education. Contact Shepherd's Clinic today.
Skills
- Shepherd's Clinic needs more volunteer internists, psychiatrists, ENTs, dermatologists and podiatrists to serve our recent increase of new, uninsured patients. Meet with one of our medical directors, Dr. Lisa Keamy or Dr. Melissa DeLong, and learn more. An active Maryland license is required. Liability coverage can be provided under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Please contact Marlene Sorra, Volunteer Coordinator 410-467-7146 x227 or volunteer@shepherdsclinic.org.
