JVS is looking for a few good volunteers for our Career Services Department!

Work one-on-one with job seekers in the area of computer skills and web navigation that will be needed for a successful job search. Teaching fundamentals, such as; how to establish an e-mail account, saving and retrieving files and uploading resumes to on-line job applications. How to use Microsoft Word to create and properly format resumes and cover letters. How to navigate the internet for job search-related research, identifying companies to target and professional associations that may provide networking opportunities, find job openings and on-line social networking; using sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn to make connections with people in a chosen line of work or employed at a specific company and to find open positions.

• Computer Expertise: Computer skills in the area of the job search process and on-line social networking sites, such as, Facebook and LinkedIn. Excellent communication skills are required.
