We Need Your Help To:

• Always represent Red Cross positively and professionally. Stay helpful, flexible, and patient.
• Provide responsive customer service: receive visitors, answer questions, provide resources and direct individuals to appropriate person.
• Provide administrative assistance to the human resources team: new hire file set up, personnel file audits, applicant testing, process paperwork, facilitate candidate interviews, etc.
• Complete computer projects, letters, memos, reports, data entry, etc.
• File and audit records. Photocopy, collate and fax.

Skills, Experience and/or Knowledge You Must Have:

• Excellent customer service skills to manage confidential and sensitive customer interactions.
• Accurate filing & proofreading skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to use standard office equipment: copy machine, fax machine, multi-line phone, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills. Strong attention to detail with ability to spot errors.
• Adaptability to accept direction, work independently as well as part of a team.

Physical/Mental Demands:

• Understand, remember and communicate information politely, accurately and clearly.
• Concentrate on repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
• Pass file and computer reviews. Must have legible handwriting.
• Sit, stand and walk as task necessitates.
• Follow the policies of the American Red Cross Volunteer Handbook.
• This position has no reasonable anticipation of exposure to blood or chemicals.
