Youth United, a Habitat for Humanity International program, mobilizes young people, ages 5 to 25, to fully fund and build a house with their local Habitat affiliate. Supported by Habitat Bucks, Youth United brings young people together from throughout a community to sponsor and build a Habitat home. Students learn leadership and teamwork skills, and gain a better understanding of their community and poverty housing. All students are engaged in fund raising, education and advocacy activities, while those over 16 help with the actual house construction.

The four goals of Youth United are to:
• Involve youth in their community.
• Engage youth in Habitat's mission of eliminating poverty housing.
• Foster teamwork among diverse groups of youth.
• Develop youth leaders.

You aged 5-25 are needed to serve on the Youth United Committee. They will help promote the program in area schools and to local community groups and assist with advocacy, fundraising and planning building events. The committee meets monthly in Chalfont.
