Join the students at the Dons Net Cafe in our continuing committment to the Santa Barbara community by doing free tax preparation for low income tax payers. The reward comes from helping individuals gain possible tax credits and for taking off the burden of doing what is often baffling and intimidating. The Dons Net Cafe VITA site is committed to professionalism and having a caring tax site. We offer baby sitting, homework assistance, and bilingual assistance (English/Spanish).
Potential volunteers should contact us for training or should be trained in the tax/accounting field already!

The Dons Net Cafe's mission is to educate and empower both its youth and its community to create change that is both beneficial to society and to the environment.
Description
The Dons Net Cafe has a variety of volunteer activities and organizations that we belong to and volunteer for. We began as a VITA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site and rolled our activities into the Virtual Enterprise program through the Regional Occupational Program. The Dons Net Cafe is a self-sustaining student run organization that follows the teachings of Dr. Jane Goodall to help poeple, the planet, and animals.
