JVS is looking for a few good volunteers for Career Services for the Disability & Assessment Services Department!

Telephone clients to learn of their progress since last contact with JVS. Follow up with vocational evaluation and to find out if they are following program recommendations. If the client is employed get details of the company and job. If unemployed, ask them how JVS could be of further assistance. Encourage their use of agency resources.

• Client follow up: Pleasant telephone manner including fluent English. Attentive to the needs of clients and respectful of shared confidential material. Excellent inter-personal skills reflecting a sincere interest in the current needs of the client. Keep abreast of services available at the agency and related organizations for information and referral purposes. Good record keeping and organizational skills. Data processing and computer literacy helpful.
