We are planning now for the 12th annual Bill Howard Golf Tournament at the Birdwood Golf course on May 6th followed by a silent auction and gala on May 7 th, 2010 at the Boar's Head Inn.

We are looking for men and women to join our gala and silent auction planning committee.

Committee membners will have a hand in planning the logictics, decor, and theme of the gala. They will also solicit silent auction items and display those items at the auction on May 7th.

All committee members receive a free ticket to attend the event.

This is year is even more exciting because it will be the first year we are holding the gala at the new pavilion at the Boar's Head Inn. It is beautful and will make planning even more fun.

The committee is meeting for the first time on Wednesday December 2, 2009 at 8:30am at the Alzheimer's Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA. We hope you can join us but if you can't make the first meeting please join us at anytime, we can alsways use more help up until the night of the event.

Just a bit about the golf tournament and gala...For 12 years now Charlottesville business leader Bill Howard has devoted every spring to hosting a golf tournament here in Charlottesville during the first week of May to raise funds and awareness about Alzheimer's disease. Our goal for the 2010 Bill Howard Golf Tournament is to raise over $100,000. The tournament is a highly visible, well-known community event, which will be widely publicized on TV stations WVAW (ABC 16), WCAV (CBS 19), WAHU (FOX 27), MY C'Ville, and on radio stations HOT 101.9, Country 99.7, 107.5 TOM FM, WCHV 1260 AM, Generations 102.3.
