RSVP is calling all trail hounds. Your help is needed to preserve the beauty of WNC. If you love the outdoors and the company of a lot of wonderful people this is the opportunity for you. Volunteers are needed to help with trail maintenance in the Buncombe County or Transylvania Area. Volunteers help with clearing new trails, repairing old trails and cleaning up after damaging storms. Volunteers in Transylvania meet on Fridays and Volunteers in Buncombe can chose from Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

Want to volunteer but don't know how to get started? Call the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) at the Land-of-Sky Regional Council. We are the volunteer center for older adults age 55 or better. We serve the counties of Henderson, Transylvania, Buncombe and Madison and are here to help you match your skills and talents to rewarding volunteer opportunities. Working with over 100 non-profit agencies we offer over 400 opportunities; if we don't have something that interests you we will do our best to find that opportunity for you! Volunteer as much as you like and take advantage of our fun recognition events and complimentary theatre tickets to expand your social calendar along with many lifelong learning opportunities through educational workshops.
