Donations can take many forms, but the most precious is certainly time. Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Community Boys & Girls Club. It only takes one person to make a lifelong difference in a child's life...and that person could be you.
Some of our volunteers prefer to work with our members during their daily routine, but some of our volunteers are able to use their skills to teach or inspire our kids. If you feel your skills or talents can inspire our members, please make note of them on the application! You don't have to be an expert to help our members. We need people of all talents and interests, and if you'd rather just help out with homework or join in athletics, we need you too! Visit www.cbgcw.org to learn more about us!A FEW AVAILABLE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Description
We offer programs in five core areas: character and
leadership development, health and life skills, the arts,
sports/fitness/recreation and education and career development. Examples of our character and leadership development programming include our Keystones and Torch Clubs, which are leadership clubs for the 13-18-year-old and 10-12-year-old members. Examples of our health and life skills programming include SMART Moves and Street SMART, which are programs that promote healthy decisions regarding drugs, alcohol, premarital sex, violence and gangs. Our arts programming includes a photography club, a film program, arts & crafts and much more. For sports, fitness and recreation, we have a variety of sports teams, such as baseball, tee-ball, basketball, dance,
etc. PowerHour and Money Matters are two examples of our education and career development programs, with PowerHour being a homework assistance program and Money Matters a program geared toward teaching money management skills. At the Community Boys & Girls Club of Wilmington, we provide a safe place to learn and grow, ongoing relationships with caring, adult
professionals, life-enhancing programs and character development experiences and hope and opportunity. We are THE positive place for kids!
