It has been found that one of the biggest challenges we face as we grow older is isolation. You can help.

We offer an opportunity to spend time with a senior while doing some activities which will enhance the quality of life for our client. Some of our seniors need help with light housekeeping, organizing, running errands or other similar tasks. Take the opportunity to spend time with a local Senior and help to improve his/her quality of life.

CICOA empowers older adults, those of any age with a disability, and their family caregivers by providing the innovative answers, services, and support to achieve the greatest possible independence, dignity and quality of life.

Description

CICOA Aging and In-Home Solutions is the state’s largest Area Agency on Aging serving Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Marion, Morgan, Johnson, and Shelby counties. CICOA carries out our mission daily by providing community resources and information needed through the Aging and Disability Resource Center. In-Home Services provides Case Management and coordination of services for those who qualify for nursing facility level of care but wish to remain in their homes and communities. Meals&More provides home delivered meals plus several community meal sites. Way2Go Transportation offers Essential Needs to medical appointments and Medicaid transportation. CICOA’s CareAware options counselor’s provides caregiver/community workshops along with one on one options counseling for Caregivers. Additionally CICOA offers a wonderful Volunteer program to help serve those in Central Indiana.
