Our Melbourne office needs help with general office duties anywhere from 2-8 hours per week. Administrative tasks include: filing and file organization, faxing, copying, scanning,phone calls, research, special projecfts etc. This is a support position for our developmnent department that exists to raise money and awareness to benefit abused, neglected or abandoned children and to build stronger families in Brevard County.

Created in 1902, Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS) is the oldest and largest statewide private not-for-profit provider of services to children and families in Florida. The Brevard Division, established in 1991, serves more than 800 children and families every day in Brevard County through a range of services including foster care services in the community, safe shelter for teen girls at the Hacienda Girls Ranch, support and guidance for new mothers and children through our Healthy Start program, protective supervision to ensure the safety of children, mental health services for children, and an independent living program to provide young women ages 18-23 who have recently aged out of the foster care system or are homeless a safe, affordable place to live as they begin their adult lives.

CHS, which served more than 86,000 children and families throughout the state of Florida in 2007-2008, currently manages the cases of nearly one-third of all children in Florida's foster care system. CHS is headquartered in Winter Park, Fla., and offers services in more than 100 locations by more than 1,900 staff members dedicated to providing child-focused, family-centered care.
