Do you enjoy meeting the needs of homeless children by providing a stable and nutritious source of food? This is an ongoing fun volunteer opportunity. Each week, we stuff backpacks full of food to distribute to elementary students who are identified as homeless.
We need volunteers throughout each week to commit to 3 hours or more and sort through shelves of food and prepare the backpacks for children and families in need.
We've Got Your Back is a weekend nutrition program created by Giving Children Hope for elementary students in Orange County's school districts who have been identified as homeless under the McKinney-Vento act.
Giving Children Hope is an international faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to relief and sustainable medical development projects in economically disadvantaged parts of the world. Additionally, GCH operates a number of local programs to meet the needs of those locally.
This volunteer activity is from Monday through Friday 9-5
