Keshet invites you to join its Work/Study Program! Are you looking for a place to be creative and to meet other creative people in Albuquerque? Yes? Then Keshet's Work/Study Program could be for you! Take dance classes in exchange for work hours...Not only will you have fun and feel great while you're dancing, you'll be part of a valuable and respected community dance program in the Keshet Center for the Arts! We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic people to be part of our team! Applicants must be 18 years or older, participate in an interview and training process prior to acceptance into the program. Keshet's mission is to inspire and unite community by fostering unlimited possibilities through dance, mentorship and a creative space for the arts.
Description
In addition to creating and performing world-class dance works, Keshet's professional dancers use dance as a vehicle to build stronger individuals--increasing self-esteem, developing a network of support, and instilling a strong work ethic--through its integrated approach to educational programming in the Keshet Kinesthetic Eduaction Laboratory (KLab). KP3 - a pre-professional dance training program for youth ages 8-18. Community Dance Classes - contemporary, ballet, hip hop, jazz, creative movement, and musical theater classes for students ages 2-102. Adaptive Dance Classes - youth and adult classes for dancers with physical or developmental disabilities. Outreach Education - uniting our professional dancers with youth and adults in the community. Work Study Program - for adults 18 and older who are interested in dancing and volunteering their time.
