Description
The mission of Bi-Habawalk Inc (BHI) is to serve young people in economically challenged New York City communities. Our aim is to stimulate personal growth, counter destructive peer pressures, and promote productive social behavior through education, the arts, and pride in ethnic heritage. An ultimate goal is to enable participants to provide for themselves and lead emotionally rich, socially responsible lives, thus reducing poverty and enhancing the quality of life for all community residents. We want to apply for grants that are available and meet our mission's requirement. A volunteer that will be able spend at least 4 hours a week would be of great assistance.
