Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services has volunteer positions for individuals who are interested in helping out with the reception desk at the Child Protective Services Building on Branch Center Road. Assignments include greeting and directing visitors, contacting the building staff about mails and visitors waiting in the lobby; sorting and receiving mails, issuing day pass, and answering phone, etc. The position requires the volunteer starts at 8 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. with one hour lunch and 15 minutes break each in the morning and afternoon.

Services provided include Child Protective Services (CPS) and Senior and Adult Services (SAS). SAS consists of Adult Protective Services, In-Home Supportive Services and the Public Administrator/Public Guardian/Public Conservator.
