Daycare center for children infant to 6
Do you enjoy the energy and enthusiasim of a pre-school age child? Would you like to help prepare these children for success when they enter grade school? This daycare in Grand Forks, ND offers enrichment activities for children and infants through 12. This site also conducts court mandated parenting classes two times per week for a 9 week session. May do four to five of these sessions per year.
Volunteers may feed, rock and play with infants. Volunteers may focus on school readiness issues, such as letter, number and color recognition. Volunteers may spend time on social/behavioral and hygiene skills. Volunteers eat lunch with the children in a family type setting, modeling appropriate table manners. During the court mandated parenting class, Volunteers provide these same daycare services to the children accompanying the adults. The Parenting Classes are offered two nights per week for a 9 week session.
Terms: Site is handicapped accessible, Volunteer must be at least 60 years of age, Volunteer must meet income eligibility requirement

The purpose of the Foster Grandparent Program is to provide meaningful opportunities for income eligible elderly (over 55) people to render supportive, individual services to children with special needs in health, educaiton, welfare and related settings.
Description
The Red River Valley Foster Grandparent Program has been in operation since 1967. It is run out of Grand Forks, ND and covers the eastern half of North Dakota.
